Don Roy has been playing the fiddle for 30 years with substantial credentials. His love of woodworking eventually evolved into this musical environment.
Don has been trained in the art of making violins by world class violinmakers who recognized in him a natural ability to create in the the style of the classic Italian masters of violin making.
Combining Don's unique style of workmanship with superior varnishing techniques, everything came together in a beautiful sonorous instrument that exhibited all the characteristics of a 300 year old violin.
Don currently works for the Maine Turnpike Authority whilst in the process of building his violin making business. His influences also include Benjamin Ruth and Steve Cournoyer, two superb artists in the field of violin making.
